Participant Portal


MHA is improving its online resources to assist customers with completing paperwork, submitting changes and communication with MHA staff.   

Beginning March 1, 2021, MHA will utilize Rent Café by Yardi for a small pilot group of participants. Each month, we will add to the group and eventually will no longer require the completion of paper applications and in most cases, in-person visits to the office.   

Selected participants of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, will be sent a registration code to set up their online portal access.  Some participants have already created a Rent Café account when they applied for a waiting list or ported their voucher to MHA.  If you have already created a Rent Café account, please be advised that this will be the same account you will use going forward.  

Now that this process will be online, and because email communication will be used by MHA, it is extremely important to keep your email address up to date.  Your email address will be your log in ID for Rent Café. 

Rent Café will provide notifications of deadlines, inspections, submission of household changes and other relevant information regarding your participation in the HCV program.  In addition, it will allow you to upload documents directly to the portal.   

Rent Café can be accessed by any mobile device or computer that has access to the internet.  If you do not have a device, MHA will have two (2) workstations dedicated for portal access at its central office location. 

MHA has also implemented a scanning kiosk that will allow contactless submission of paperwork to MHA. 

We are excited about the upcoming changes that will improve your interaction with MHA.
